Cedar Boardwalk

Date: 2018

Architect/Designer: Timber Workshop with Clementine Blakemore

Location: Kingcombe, Dorset

Timber Workshop teamed up again with Clementine Blakemore during this 9 day AA Visiting School, continuing work undertaken the previous year with the Dorset Wildlife Trust. 6 international architecture students undertook the construction under the guidance of Timber Workshop, building a new boardwalk linking last years timber pavilion, with the main entrance to the nature reserve.

Constructed in Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar, the timber was sourced and milled locally at Hooke Park. Workshop facilities at the Architecture Association run centre were used for elements of prefabrication, before being brought to site and installed through the week.
