Dungeness Beach House

Date: 2020

Architect/Designer: DRDH Architects

Structural Engineer: HRW Engineers

Location: Dungeness, Kent

Timber Workshop were invited to fabricate a Douglas Fir frame that formed the shell for a new build house on the shingle headland at Dungeness, Kent. Homegrown Douglas Fir was used throughout the project, whether visible or concealed; part of the architect’s search for material continuity. Sheathed panels were fabricated in our Devon workshop and brought to site in a shipping container.
